projects we’ve been working on

The boys have really been enjoying making paper toys lately. So I printed out a few different versions of paper toys that they could make for their classmates. Isaac made some simple (but extremely cute!) snowmen.

Andrew wanted to make each classmate their favorite character. Shown here: a creeper, pikachu and Kirby. Not pictured: Thomas the train and a racecar…so a racecar isn’t a character…but he thought one of his friends would really like it. :)

We put their paper toys in little bags with notes and stickers.

Then for the teachers I made:

Peppermint Marshmallows and…

Chocolate, Orange, Pistachio Bark.

We’ve definitely been busy little elves around here! But we’re just about done…which honestly I’m ready for. I love all the preparation that goes in to this time of year…but I’m just about ready to kick back and enjoy it now. :)

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.
