Favorite Christmas Cookies

My mother made these every year and now I make them every year. I’ve taken to doubling the recipe and it’s still not enough. I don’t know what it is about these cookies, but I always just want to sit and eat the whole thing. :) This year, I couldn’t find the recipe. I looked pretty hard for it, determined not to call my mom to ask for the recipe *again*. How embarrassing! I finally found it. And I found it right here! on this ol’ blog mine of mine from four years ago!

Want to make them? You won’t regret it…unless you are the type of person that doesn’t want to sit and eat a bunch of cookies. :) Recipe here.

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

  1. Hi Robyn ~ Just came online to grab the recipe for your pretzel cookies. It was so sweet to see your little Andrew in the recipe post from 2009! Anyway, I think these will make great cookies to include in my Grandma’s Christmas package I’m mailing this week. She loves lemon so I’m going to lemon-them-up a little. I’ll let you know how that goes. Hope you guys have a great weekend! xo

They don’t do well at high altitude :( I have never had a successful batch here.

  3. Hey there, Robyn. Just wanted to let you know that I blogged about your yummy cookies on my blog today and I linked to you. Thanks so much for sharing these – they are (were) amazing!!!
