Today will be a lot of run around. The third graders at Andrew’s school are putting on a performance about math. :) I think there will be rapping of times tables involved. I made cranberry muffins for the post-rap snack. Then I have to pop into the city, then back to Brooklyn where there are more errands to run. Our doorbell has been broken, actually now missing, for weeks now and there are packages for me at the post office.

Then I’ll back at home base by the time the bus drops of my kiddos, ready for practicing some ballet stretching, going over homework and doing the dinner and bath time rigamarole.

I spend so much time at home at this point in my life, that days like these seem both pretty fun AND make me glad for the hours of productive quiet I get normally. :)

Here goes nothing!

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

Rapping and cranberry muffins? Sounds like my kind of day!

So, when you do this running around, do you use your car or do you use public transportation? And did you enjoy the “math rap”– :)

Actually…I showed up one week early for the math rap. :( And I mostly used the train to avoid looking for parking. Though, I drive to my closest post office errand to save me a little time. :)
