This weekend the boys got their robot on and we went to a Halloween carnival and haunted walk in Prospect Park.

The carnival games were run by local high school students and included things like “Sweep-the-Pumpkin-through-the-Cones”.

And “Pumpkin Bowling with Squash Pins”. It was really cute and the boys loved it.

And then we ran into a little Zaida crow.

We went through a haunted walk, got some Food Truck lunch and the boys rolled around in the grass for a while.

And then, in stark contrast, the afternoon looked like this:

My friend Susan, gave birth to sweet Catherine Rose one week ago. Andrew and I went to visit the family and it was lovely to meet the newest addition and see my lovely friend.

Isn’t she beautiful?

Our weekend was busy and full! We still have not carved pumpkins! Eep!! Here’s hoping we get to that SOON!

Hope yours was a good one and Happy Monday to all!

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

  1. Susan says:

That is the cutest baby I’ve ever seen!!!

My kids are totally on to me, now. “Mom, you say that about all your babies . . .”
