It’s getting colder now in New York. Light jacket and scarf kind of cold. I’ve been putting the boys in long sleeved, long legged jammies at night and Andrew has gotten back into the habit of wrapping himself in a quilt when he eats breakfast. We probably should have the heat on, but we can’t figure out how to get it going and we need to talk to the super about it.
When we moved into this apartment, it was in the 90’s. The first thing the movers did when they arrived with our things in their truck, was to haul up and install the air conditioners and get them humming right away. And now…it’s cold! I keep thinking: I didn’t think this neighborhood *got* cold! But it does. The boys have already discussed the possibilities of building a snowman on our patio should it snow this year. I love that idea…but I can’t imagine snow here!
We’re 40 blocks away from our old apartment…and sometimes it feels SO much further. Strange!
I’m prepping for winter by looking through last year’s photos and tracking the highlights. And although I usually love winter, this year I feel a little hesitant and I’m not sure why. But…no matter if I’m ready or not…it’s coming!
