This morning, at 3:30, we stumbled through our front door, exhausted, but full and happy.
Dave had to go to San Francisco for work last week, and the boys and I tagged along for some fun. While Dave worked, Andrew, Isaac and I explored some of the city’s kid museums with one of my besties, Marti…and over the weekend we went hiking in Lake Tahoe (we had planned to visit Yosemite…but the wildfires had us changing plans last minute. We found out later that our abandoned hotel room went to firefighters that were in the area fighting the blaze.).
I was nervous about traveling again, after an already full and busy summer…but we had a great time! The boys did great and there were just as many meltdowns (perhaps even less!) than if we had stayed home. :)
It was a beautiful area and a wonderful time. And now…strangely…I am ready to buckle down and really get going on the things I need to do around here. A vacation that left me rejuvenated and energized? How is that possible??
Hope all is well!
