one room tour: part 2

The boys’ room.

Their room is the slightest bit bigger than their last room. It’s the same narrow, long shape, but since the door is at a skinny end, rather than on the long side, we can actually fit more things in there. So, there’s that….

We went with blue on the walls, instead of green…and I put up a lot of thing like I had them before.

Pictured above: the cross-stich pieces my mom made the boys…and two of the dozens of coconut trees Isaac has made over the last few weeks.

And, here’s his stuffed coconut tree…with it’s basket of letters. :)

Most of the boys’ clothes go in their bureaus…with the exception of their school uniforms, which I hang for wrinkly purposes…so, I decided to use their closet for more toy storage. Their costumes are hanging in there too.

And that’s that. It’s a great little room…and I think it feels just right to them…like their room has always felt. :) I have plans to add this map, or something like it, to the wall above the keyboard.

And that’s that…the boys’ room. :)

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.
