weekend

This weekend we went on a very foggy hike on Turkey Mountain in New Jersey.

It was really beautiful to be in these foggy woods, all by ourselves. A little spooky too…but in a fun way. :)

After protesting about going for a hike, the boys were really glad to have some time to romp outside.

It wasn’t raining, but you wouldn’t know that from my hair’s reaction to the fog. :) It was all wet ringlets by the time we were done.

A lot of the trails were closed…and we saw a lot of trees down from Hurricane Sandy…but the trail to some old ruins was open and safe, and so we ended up here.

Which we all thought was pretty cool.

Then we hiked back down.

Dave swears that in about 80% of the photos of him in our collection , he’s carrying someone on his shoulders. ;) He’s probably right.

It was great to get outside a little! Hope yours was lovely!

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

Wonderful fabulous photos of all of you. You should put some on canvas….you will not believe how truly…in a blink….your husband will not be able to carry them on his shoulders…..the days are fleeting. LOVE this post.
