Three more days of my December Daily, done! :) For the 7th, I recorded the Christmas tree skirt that I made last week. More on that in another post. ;)
Dave was still away at his conference on Saturday the 8th, so the boys used that big, long day to make some cookies. We made pretzel cookies, which we make (and I scrapbook) EVERY year. :) This was the first year that they actually helped to roll the dough into pretzels and they did a mighty fine job! Who knew?
For the 9th, Dave was home! And we got our Christmas tree and put it up. Big day for the little family.
So big that Andrew wrote it up for his weekend homework assignment. I LOVE how he recorded this with all of it’s messy glory (pine needles on the floor, arguments over who hangs the star, the troubles Dave and I had in getting the tree in it’s stand…) so I asked the teacher if I could have it back…and he obliged. :) And now it has a place in our album.
Man, Christmas is really revving up. Hold onto your hats!

I’ve always thought that your scrapbooking styles and your blogging styles were total opposites. Your scrapbooks are usually these chock-full busy pages (which I love!) while your blog is very clean and minimalist. That page for the 8th is like a blog page transferred to your scrapbook and I love it!
Thanks Susan! So sweet!
LOVE love the drawing. I have been looking forward to seeing your posts, as I enjoyed them last year. The composition of the cookie page is wonderful…makes me want to pick up a cookie and enjoy! Looking forward to enjoying the upcoming days. Merry merry!
Wow~ Janel! Thank you!!
This is absolutely priceless!! Andrew draws the event so well!! Don’t you love seeing it through his eyes. How old were you when I let you roll out the pretzel cookies :)
Love the drawing of the camera on the stand!!!
