party invites!

I’ve decided to try it again….to press my luck…to see if I can get Andrew’s classmates together again for a party…but this time a Christmas party! His birthday party was such a great success that I want to give it another whirl. So…we’ll see what happens!

I made a simple invitation in photoshop and printed them. (I blurred our address and phone number for this post. Just exercising some internet safety is all.)

Then I added a strip of washi tape at the bottom.

Andrew wrote each classmate a note…

…and I wrote to each mom.

So, here’s hoping it’s the jing-tingli-est party of the holiday season! ;)

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

What a great idea – I hope they all have a lot of fun.

You are such a clever lady – this is an awesome invitation – the cutter looks so effective and you have photographed it very well!

This is such a nice idea! How many kids are there in the class? I sometimes think I’d like to have my son’s classmates over, but the thought of 18 kids (obviously, not all might make it, but still) running around our teeny-tiny space is daunting. But I might steal this and just take the party to them instead. ;)
