thank you notes

Another round of thank you notes have hit the mail and been delivered to the generous and deserving people that remembered Isaac’s birthday. He got a LOT of presents this year. For some reason it seems like he got MUCH more this year than in years past and I’m not really sure why. Anyway, I used my always evolving photoshop skills to add text to a cute photo of Isaac. I taped it to a card with cute paper tape and sat Isaac down to write his name 12 times. A task he was strangely eager to do.

The photo lifts up to reveal Isaac’s signature and I attached another card to the back of the photo where I wrote my “he loved it!” and “so sweet of you!” or to some…”what were you thinking?!” (you know who you are!).

I really like how they turned out!

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

:) nope! an indoor water toy! that requires both ice cold and luke warm water at the same time…and both need constantly refilling! It’s a little car wash and the car changes color with the cold/warm water thing. HE LOVES IT! Really! plays with it every day! He thinks it’s the best toy ever. And I’ve worked some systems to make it more mama-manageable. So…all in all not too bad. ;)
