One Week: Sunday

HOORAY!! SUNDAY!!

I am totally pooped. This project is a LOT of work. Especially the way I do it…with my persistence in putting the book together as I go. It’s totally worth it…but I am SPENT.

Hope your weekend was lovely. :)

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

Wooohoooo! Well done, you made it!
I completely understand what you mean about putting this together because I do it the same way – it’s worth it though, because now it is done!

Pad Thai is easy to make at home – having a good Asian grocer helps, you can get great base pastes and then make your own dressing with lime and sesame oil and soy sauce. Add in your tofu, egg and veggies and off you go … don’t forget the noodles!

Congratulations! I still need to order my pictures and put my book together, but I have confidence it will get done.

Yay! It IS a lot of work–even if you do the lame-o version like I did. I was so relieved to wake up this morning and not worry about taking pictures. But it’s so worth it! I saw a lot of new things when I was trying to capture all the little pieces of our day.

Hi, I love your blog!! I’m also from NYC, but now I’m currently living in Las Vegas. I was wondering how you made the 16 photo college? This was my first week doing WITL, still have to put my book together, but it was so much fun!!!

      Thanks Anna! Welcome! :)

I used iPhoto. I have a Mac and iPhoto is the standard photo program. I select the 16 photos I want, crop them into square and choose ‘print’. Then, in the print settings, I selected an image size of 1.75 by 1.75 and “letter paper” size…and that’s it. :) Sometimes I have to play around with the size of the photos for those collages…but 1.75 square has given me nice and tidy little 16 photo collages every time.

      Best of luck!!
