muffins

My mom recently got me a new cookbook for no good reason at all. (Chuck, Tara, jealous?!? mwah hah hah!) My mom was the one that suggested Passion For Baking way back when and since that cookbook quickly rose to my top all-time favorite baking cookbook, when she saw that there was another one by the same author, she got it!

It’s called the New Best of Better Baking.com and it easily makes up for it’s clunky title with GREAT recipes. I’ve only tried two so far, but there is so much in there I can’t wait to bake.

Yesterday I made these Almond Poppy Seed Muffins. They have almond paste in the batter. Genius!

So…I plan to bake a lot from this cookbook for a little while. You might want to go ahead and order one because man, oh man…it’s going to be GOOD!

(can you believe this lady does not endorse me?!? All this free promo! I mean, holy mackerel!)

I just posted about baking two days in a row. Is that bothering anyone else, or is my neurosis showing again?

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

that first picture is so pretty. i love any and all things with almond paste so that might just put me over the edge and force me to buy the book.

  3. Hey Robyn! I’ve just been catching up over here. I was thinking about you the other day and realized that I hadn’t added your new url to my Google feed. No wonder I was missing you! It was lovely catching up on your little family happenings and all of your bread looks amazing!!! How do you stay so slim?!?! Oh…must be from chasing those boys around, eh? Anyway, it’s good to see you again! xo
