weekend

untitled-9791-Edit

During our first Spring in New York, I was riding the bus to work, and I passed a garden of tulips. I remember thinking “it’s here! Spring is here!” Then, a week later, the tulips were gone and I was left feeling like I missed it. The signs of Spring are so sparse in New York, you REALLY have to pay attention! Since then, when Spring comes, I always feel a subtle sense of anxiety to not miss it!!

So, this weekend, we were outside as much as possible! Even it was just out on our patio!

We went to one of our favorite playgrounds to play around too.

When we went over to this section with these swings, there was a girl there, climbing up the structure that holds the swing and swinging from the top of it! My boys sure found that inspiring and were scrambling up as fast as they could!!

Luckily, Dave is good at spotting when Isaac does that kind of thing. :)

They LOVED playing hard. :)

Then there was some of this….

and I felt jealous that Dave has the family tower he does with the boys, but I don’t have an equivalent. So, I decided to try out the family rock-a-bye-baby.

Marginally successful. ha!

Hope you had a great weekend!

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.
