weekend

This weekend was about snowball fights.

untitled-4685

Well, short lived snowball fights for those of us who chose heavy snowballs, gave up and decided to go with snow angels instead. ;)

But there was one among us that could have thrown snowballs all day long.

And seeing his brother in action, inspired the little one to give it another go.

Little did he know that I am not one to stand idly around while someone is throwing snowballs at me.

untitled-4650-2

Nope. I get in the game. Weak arm, terrible aim and all.

And that which does not defeat us, brings us closer. :) or something like that…

We also spent some time at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum.

The boys made pretend pizzas.

And explored the aquarium-you-can-crawl-around-in.

And Isaac practiced a few math facts.

It was a pretty good weekend. The boys are home this week for Winter Break and I have every minute planned and posted so everyone knows what is happening, when and how. :) I’ve learned that we’re all better off that way. Yes there will be time to sit and do nothing but stare at the ceiling, but not until we’re at that point in the schedule! And if I’m reading the schedule right, I need to wrap this up and make lunches!

Hope you had a lovely weekend!

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

My takeaway: Robyn finally has a sensible winter coat and boots!

Maybe those aren’t new, but you never seemed to have the kind of winter gear you’d expect from a Vermont girl ;)

Hmmm, I was so sure I’d left a comment! Anyway, a fabulous set of photos ~ Isaac is just soooo adorable!
