Happy Valentine’s Day!!

Hello!!! Today’s the big day! :) Schools are open, we are digging out from our latest snow storm and I sent the kids to school with a HUGE bag of valentine nonsense, shown below.

The boys and I made cookie valentines. I frosted them on Wednesday so the icing would be nice and hard. Then the boys wrote on them with food markers. I think they came out kinda cute! I put them in individual baggies and attached the paper valentines (shown above) to each baggie.

I also made a valentine snack mix for their classes. It has pretzels, popcorn, chex cereal, m&m’s and valentine sprinkles and it’s all held together with pink candy melt.

I also made my own valentines that I mailed to friends and family.

So…all in all not bad! Pretty craftastic! Hope you have a lovely valentine’s day!

About robyn

I stopped teaching Kindergarten in 2005 to become the mom of two crazy boys here in Brooklyn. At first I thought being a stay at home mom meant that I needed to pour all my time and energy directly into my sons, but I realized somewhere along the way that being a rockstar mom meant not only taking good care of my boys, but also taking good care of myself. And taking good care of myself means pursuing something creative...just about everyday. I started Made In Brooklyn to motivate myself in my creative goals as well as share my work with others and perhaps inspire them in their own creative journeys.

Wow, you really make a big day out of Valentine’s Day over there! Here it’s really only between partners/husbands/wives/girlfriends/boyfriends – one card to one person!
